Lifting Assessments/Form Check

Squat, Deadlift, Push-ups, Pull-ups, Lunges, Bridges, sit-ups. Sometimes you just want to know if you’re doing them right. But what is “right” for you might not be “right” for someone else. Find out what an ideal form looks like for you in the 7 basic exercises where every group-fitness class builds from and stop guessing if you’re doing the movement correctly.

Cupping

Ultimately, cupping is a form of soft tissue release that will aid in increasing range of motion, decreasing stiffness and reducing acute pain or discomfort. It is a promotion of blood flow into the treatment area with the intent to improve circulation and movement, ultimately improving overall function of the joint.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is the process by which a tiny sterile monofilament needle is placed into the muscle, tendon, ligament that is irritated with the objective of improving that tissue function and stimulating the body’s healing properties. Based on research and western medical practice techniques it is different from acupuncture although the same needle is used. Patients can expect an almost immediate relief of tension in the muscle that has been treated. Coupled with an appropriate strength training plan of care, this can be an extremely effective treatment technique for those that struggle with constant tension in their muscles.

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

“Scraping” as most would call it is the use of a tool to promote blood flow and movement of the fascia, muscles, tendinous structures and skin. This can be done in a static position or while the patient is doing a repetitive motion to promote proper biomechanics.

Return To Running & Running Assessment

Stop guessing what it will take to start running again. Our trained physical therapists will guide you to your goals for your running following an appropriate dosage that is unique to your injury as well as individual goal.

More than just running on a treadmill…is your body able to transfer its weight from the right leg to the left leg without compensating and possibly leading to future injury.

Postural Screens

There’s more to posture than “stop slouching”, “chin tucks” and “pull your shoulders back and down”. Understand why you sit, stand, walk in certain postures, your ability to navigate from one to the other and why if your body is stuck in one posture it can be limiting in other aspects of your life and activities.
